Half-baked students are increasing due to poor teachers, learners ratio, hence Nigerian Union of Teachers condemns the imbalance.

Chairman, NUT, Akwa State chapter, Edet Okon Abang Emenyi, stated this in an interview with The Guardian in Uyo.

Emenyi, however, noted that Akwa Ibom State Government is doing its best on school infrastructure and related matters, and called for training and retraining of teachers to make them cope with their professional demands. 

He urged government to harmonise salary structures as laid by the Federal Government.  

Emenyi also called on government to pay all outstanding entitlements, mostly,  to teachers in primary schools,  including promotion arrears of 2011 and 2016.
