Hearing on Dasuki’s application to consolidate charges adjourned till Oct
A high court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Maitama, Abuja yesterday adjourned hearing on a motion for consolidation of charges against former National Security Adviser (NSA), Colonel Sambo Dasuki to October 5, 2016.
The matter before Justice Baba Yusuf was slated for hearing on the motion by Dasuki, asking the court to consolidate two criminal charges bordering on alleged corruption and breach of trust brought against him by the Federal Government in the course of his official duties.
However, at the resumed trial yesterday, prosecution counsel, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) informed the court that the trial had been adjourned for the hearing of an application filed by the first defendant.
While counsel to other parties in the matter did not object to the application, Akin Olujinmi (SAN), counsel to the second defendant, Shuaibu Salisu, moved a motion for adjournment of the trial to October 5 agreed to by parties in the matter.
