The Help Enhance Lives Peace Initiative Int’l (HELPii) in partnership with local government and health officials, has held a free medical outreach program in Adupi Emoriko Ogugu, a remote village in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria.

Executive Director, Onoja Precious Ikojo, HELP Initiative Int’l, said the primary objectives of the program were to provide essential healthcare services to the residents of Adupi Emoriko Ogugu and other six neighbouring communities which include Ipeilo, Imaja, Aloko, Ogene and Ofante.

This, Ikojo said, is to raise awareness about preventive healthcare, and promote a healthier lifestyle in the communities
The Executive Director they were a non-profit organization dedicated and committed to the course of humanity in providing free medical outreach programs to underserved communities.

The program included a wide range of medical services, such as consultations with medical professionals, diagnosis, treatment, and distribution of essential medications.
Health screenings for non-communicable diseases, such as hypertension and diabetes, HIV/AIDS counseling and testing were also conducted.
Additionally, the program also focused on maternal and child health, with prenatal and postnatal care services being offered to pregnant women and children under the age of five.

The free medical outreach program had a significant impact on the lives of the people in Adupi Emoriko Ogugu and her close communities.

Ikojo said over 300 participants were direct beneficiaries of the programme as many residents who could not afford regular healthcare services were able to access the necessary medical care they needed.

According to the ED, the program also educated the community on the importance of regular health check-ups, early detection of diseases, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Participants expressed their appreciation for the initiative and emphasized the importance of continued support in improving access to healthcare services in their community.

Following the successful outreach, Help Enhance Lives Peace Initiative Int’l aims to continue its efforts in providing sustainable healthcare solutions to underserved communities in Kogi State, with a focus on building partnerships with local healthcare providers and institutions.

The Help Enhance Lives Peace Initiative Int’l’s free medical outreach program in Adupi Emoriko Ogugu had a significant impact on the community’s health and well-being.
By providing essential healthcare services, raising awareness about preventive healthcare, and promoting healthier lifestyles, the program has made a lasting difference in the lives of the residents of this remote village in Kogi State, Nigeria.
