Justice Mahmood Abdulgafar of Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin yesterday turned down a bail application filed by self-acclaimed herbalist, Jamiu Isiaka, standing trial over alleged N30 million fraud.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had on June 11, 2019, arraigned Isiaka on a four-count charge of fraud, conspiracy and impersonation.

But he pleaded not guilty to all the charges.

Ruling on the bail application, Justice Abdulgafar said the accused had failed to prove why the court should use its discretion to admit him on bail.

The judge, however, ordered accelerated hearing of the case and adjourned till July 9, 2019 for further hearing.
