Herdsmen attack: Prophet wants Nigerians to defend themselves

The General Overseer, Evangelical Bible Outreach Ministries International (EBOMI), Prophet Isa El-Buba, has expressed disappointment in the Buhari administration for failing to nip in the bud herdsmen killings, saying it is time citizens defended themselves.

He noted that when President Muhammadu Buhari was on a working visit to Benue State, he observed that the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) disobeyed his order to relocate to Benue until peace returns.

“If we have an efficient and competent leader, that IGP should have been sacked immediately,” El-Buba said.

He said this at the inauguration ceremony of “The Initiative for Better and Brighter Nigeria” held at EBOMI Towers in Jos, where he explained that the programme was to advocate a new Nigeria built on the principles of rule of law, equity, social justice and liberty, regardless of religion, ethnicity, gender, race and status.
