Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, said the Homeowners Charter Programme has reduced to the barest property related fraud in the state.

Amosun disclosed this while presenting Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) and other land title documents to another batch of beneficiaries under the scheme in Abeokuta.

In a statement by the Bureau of Lands and Survey, Amosun, represented by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Otunba Dayo Adeneye, said the bi-monthly presentation of certificates to beneficiaries has shown that the programme was not mere political gimmick.

When we conceptualised the idea in 2013, skeptics regarded it as mere political talk, but over the years, we have not only proved them wrong, but also demonstrated the will to match our words with action.

In his welcome address, Acting Surveyor- General of the State, Ken-Salem Onasosen, congratulated the beneficiaries, urging them to sensitise their neighbours, friends and family members about the authenticity of the scheme and the need to cooperate with the government towards delivering the dividends of democracy to citizens.
