House of Reps postpones resumption
The House of Representatives on Saturday, postponed its resumption date, which was earlier scheduled for July 21, 2015, to Tuesday, July 28, 2015.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr M.A Sano-Omolori, Clerk House of Representatives issued in Abuja.
“This is to inform all Honourable Members of the House of Representatives of the postponement of resumption of plenary Session from the adjourned date of Tuesday, 21st July 2015 to Tuesday, 28th July 2015.
“Honourable Members are advised to take note of the new date of resumption accordingly, please,” it said.
Earlier, the upper chamber of the Nigerian National Assembly made similar announcement in a statement on July 16, 2015.
The statement titled “Rescheduling the resumption of the Senate in Plenary” and signed by the Acting Senate Clerk declared: “This is to inform all distinguished Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria that the resumption of the Senate in Plenary has been rescheduled from Tuesday, 21st July 2015 to Tuesday, 28th July, 2015.
All Senators are by this notice, requested to resume sitting in plenary on Tuesday, 28th July, 2015 by 10.00am prompt, please.”
The Senate and the House of Representatives began their recess June 25.
