The candidate of the Action Alliance (AA) in the 2019 governorship election in Imo State, Uche Nwosu, has reiterated his unflinching support for the new state governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma.

Nwosu stated this while debunking reports that he had approached the Supreme Court, asking to be declared the state governor instead owing to its previous judgment, which affirmed him as authentic candidate of APC.

He described the report as “mischievous, false and a handiwork of desperate elements, who are discomfited over the new found sense of reconciliation and peace within the party,” restating his resolve to contribute whatever he can to the progress of the Uzodimma led administration as well as towards revitalizing APC in the state.

“It is obvious that some elements are still living in the past, but I and indeed all my followers and supporters are looking into the future with assurances of a brighter hope for Imo State. If for nothing else, the emergence of Senator Hope Uzodimma has re-energized the Party and brought all members of the APC in Imo State on the same page.

“I did not run for governorship of Imo out of desperation, but out of my motivation to render service to the people of Imo State and make life more prosperous and fulfilling for them.

“Now that Uzodimma is there, I believe he will do his best to implement the progressive manifestoes and people oriented ideologies of our Party. What we all owe him is our support and whenever my input is needed, I will happily make my inputs without reservations,” he stated.

Nwosu also advised all Imo stakeholders to bury their hatchets and buy into the vision of the new governor towards helping the State move forward.
