The ceremony, presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof Charles O. Esimone, commended Aguowo’s philanthropic endeavors and entrepreneurial achievements.

Known for leading the IG Aguowo Health and Academic Foundation and Volic Group of Companies, Aguowo was recognized for his significant contributions to education, having invested millions in scholarship trusts. His unwavering dedication to eliminating poverty through education and enhancing healthcare for the less fortunate was highlighted and praised during the event.
Aguowo expressed eagerness to collaborate with the university for future infrastructural development projects and outlined forthcoming plans for a 2024 initiative at the institution, reaffirming his commitment to advancing educational standards.
His foundation’s impact extends beyond Nigeria, supporting hundreds of students across different educational levels, including more than 30 scholars from Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka. Dr. Frank Igbojindu, CEO of Best Brain Contest, acknowledged Aguowo’s pivotal role in education, recognizing his substantial contributions benefiting approximately 350 beneficiaries through the foundation.
