Igboho denies allegations of fraud, warrant of arrest
Yoruba nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has debunked a report that a warrant of arrest has been issued against him by a Federal High Court, Lagos over alleged breach of contract.
Ighoho said the story is false and intended to damage his reputation.
In a statement dated October 23, 2024, issued by his counsel, Akinlolu Oyebamiji, a principal partner at AOC Solicitors & Attorneys, he said an online site published the falsehood, adding that there is no iota of truth in the publication.
Oyebamiji explained that it came as a shock to Igboho to hear that an ex-parte order was obtained to arrest and extradite him over a contractual relationship he was never a party to.
According to the lawyer, the publication maligned his client’s integrity, and character, “which has caused serious injury to his standing.”
