IGP Arase decorates two new DIGs
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, has decorated two Deputy Inspector- General of Police that were recently promoted.
Arase, who decorated the officers in Abuja on Tuesday, urged them to work hard as the promotion was a reward for their hard work.
The officers decorated are, Chintua Amajor-Onu and Jubril Adeniji.
He admonished them to inject their wealth of experience to further improve the Police Management Team.
“I will expect that in your contributions and decisions to move the Nigeria police force forward, your thoughts and decisions will not be primordial,“ he said.
Earlier, retired Maj.-Gen. Lawarence Onoja, the President, Alumni of the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) said that the training acquired by the officers would further enhance their performance.
He commended the IGP for the reform programme he initiated since assumption of office.
Speaking on behalf of the officers, Amajor-Onu pledged their loyalty to the country, especially at this time of change.
She described the journey to the attainment of their new ranks as tough.
“We are grateful for the elevation to the rank of DIG,“ she said.
DIG Chintua Amajor-Onu, psc, mni holds a degree in Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice while DIG Adeniji Jubril Olawale mniholds a degree in Law.
Both officers have served in various sensitive capacities and have contributed immensely towards Police service delivery.

Congratulations to both of them. Relative to Jubril Adeniji, I say “up JOGS” as we hail all old boys of Ijebu-Ode Grammar School (Founded January 20, 1913).
We will review and take appropriate action.
