The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Jimoh Moshood, in a statement at the weekend in Abuja, said the commissioners (CPs) and their Supervising Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) as well as the personnel in the contiguous states to Zamfara had been placed on alert by the IGP, adding that they had also been directed to cooperate with the investigative team from the force headquarters.

Moshood, a Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), said the IGP had also ordered the Joint Special Investigation Team headed by the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Intelligence of the Force have proceeded to Zamfara State to commence a detailed investigation into the killings.
