Ihedioha hosts little David, rewards him
Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State has said his administration would always spot out outstanding indigenes and reward them accordingly, irrespective of their age, level or class.
Ihedioha made the disclosure yesterday when he announced the adoption of little David Wisdom Uchechukwu for reciting in an excellent manner the National Anthem during the recently held Independence anniversary at Iho, headquarters of Ikeduru Local Government Area, Imo State. He also hosted the young pupil, who is less than six years to a breakfast, awarding him scholarship throughout his life.
Ihedioha used the opportunity to urge parents to pay adequate attention to their children in the areas of academic and moral activities, saying that his administration would always encourage this.
David was accompanied to the breakfast with the governor by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Osuagwu and the Chairman of Ikeduru Local Government Area Interim Management Committee, A. C Opara, and his school teacher, Ehiri Joy Godfrey.
