FORMER Minister of Education, Dr. Oby Ezekwesili, has identified federal government’s inconsistent economic policies as responsible for the collapse of public education.

She said this yesterday at the 12th Gani Fawehinmi Annual Lecture/Symposium held at the Airport Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, with the theme, ‘The collapse of the Public Education and the past, present and future prospects of the Nigerian State,’ organised by the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ikeja branch.

Ezekwesili noted that when there is a poor economic growth and inconsistent infrastructure to boost the educational structure, a collapse in the education system is inevitable in any part of the world.
