The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the weekend (Saturday) closed its defence in the petition by Chief Godswill Akpabio challenging the election of Chris Ekpenyong for Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District.
At the tribunal in Uyo, counsel to INEC, Ifeoluwa U. Esq, submitted documents containing names of INEC ad hoc members of staff, returning officers and collation officers in Essien Udim Local Council, which were admitted and marked as Exhibits R603 and R603A.
Meanwhile, the tribunal has adjourned till August 8, 2019 for adoption of written address.
