Insecurity: Oyo to recruit Amotekun forest rangers
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has approved the recruitment of Amotekun Forest Rangers. This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Commandant of Oyo Amotekun Corps, Col. Olayinka Olayanju (rtd).
Olayanju said interested applicants who are between the ages 25 and 50 years, medically and physically fit, with no criminal records are advised to register online.
He said: “His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has graciously approved a fresh recruitment of able-bodied local hunters and others into the Oyo State Amotekun Corps as members of Amotekun Forest Rangers. Interested applicants are advised to register online using the Oyo State Government jobs portal.”
The agency enjoined all applicants to adhere to instructions to avoid outright disqualification. It said all dismissed Amotekun operatives should not bother to apply, because “they stand disqualified from participating in the exercise.”
