Institute to proffer insights into sustainability

In line with its objective of deepening professional discourse around governance and institutional integrity, the Compliance Institute, Nigeria (CIN) is set to provide strategic insights into the evolving regulatory landscape.

CIN President, Pattison Boleigha, said this ahead of the institute’s ninth induction ceremony, stating that the regulatory landscape is particularly in the areas of financial crime prevention, risk management, and the sustainability of compliance frameworks across public and private institutions.

He said the ceremony, which is expected to attract over 1,000 new professionals into its membership, represents an opportunity to align the practice of compliance in Nigeria with international benchmarks, especially as organisations confront increasingly complex governance challenges.

According to him, this year’s event, with the theme ‘Shaping the Future of Compliance, Innovation, and Ethical Leadership’, comes at a time when Nigeria’s financial and governance ecosystems are undergoing renewed reforms driven by technological disruption, heightened regulatory scrutiny and global compliance expectations.

The Registrar/Chief Executive Officer of CIN, Bawo Egbakhumeh, said the induction scheduled to hold on Dec 13, 2025, at the MUSON Centre, Lagos, was of the sector’s most anticipated yearly gatherings, expected to also confer fellowship status on select industry leaders who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to ethical practice and regulatory excellence.

She described the forthcoming induction as a reaffirmation of the institute’s mandate to develop a pipeline of competent professionals equipped to drive Nigeria’s integrity systems.

According to her, the institute continues to prioritise capacity-building, ethical leadership and institutional strengthening as core pillars for shaping the future of compliance practice.

Egbakhumeh also added that CIN continues to promote professionalism and global best practices in compliance, contributing to Nigeria’s broader efforts to enhance financial integrity and strengthen institutional accountability.

Expected to deliver the keynote address is the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Olayemi Cardoso, while the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, is invited as the Special Guest.
