Firm announces successful candidates for virtual internship
Following the highly anticipated launch of its virtual internship programme earlier in July, Iris Attorneys LP has released the list of successful candidates who have been selected to participate in the four-week programme. The internship, designed to provide law students with industry exposure and skill development across various legal fields, attracted applicants from universities across Nigeria.
The successful interns who were selected are: Khadeejah Raji, University of Ilorin; Favour Iruoma Lazarus, Nnamdi Azikiwe University; Hannah Kintum, University of Benin; Hassan Babatunde, Fountain University, Osogbo; Mardhiyyah Akanbi, University of Ilorin; Loveth John, Ebonyi State University; Charity Bala-Abe, University of Lagos; Timilehin Adebiyi, Obafemi Awolowo University; Edeh Emmanuela Chinweoke, Ebonyi State University; and Chioma Cynthia Ominyi, Ebonyi State University.
The virtual internship, which will commence in August 2024, is a paid opportunity aimed at equipping students with hands-on legal experience in areas such as Dispute Resolution, Real Estate, Corporate Governance, and Intellectual Property. Principal Partner of Iris Attorneys, Ridwan Oke, emphasized that the programme was created to ease the financial burden on students while helping them build practical legal skills.
The selection process was highly competitive, with students required to demonstrate their ability to benefit from the internship through verifiable past activities and achievements. The successful interns will benefit from mentorship, networking opportunities, and practical legal training from one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing law firms.
