Ishaku’s advert debts unsettle media practitioners
The government of Taraba State may have sunk into financial mess following its inability to pay for advertisements placed on its behalf by some media organisations across the country.
The organisations, which are owed several millions of naira, are worried over the state’s solvency, The Guardian gathered.
Governor Darius Ishaku’s alleged refusal to offset the bills was observed to have created concerns in some of the media outfits, as some reporters were reportedly denied their remunerations by their employers.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu, who has continued to appeal to reporters and their employers, admitted that he had being receiving calls from the management of the affected media houses.
