Isoko Develoopment Union re-elects Amaidhe president general

Chief Iduh Amaidhe has been re-elected as president-general of Isoko Development Union (IDU), to lead the union for another three years term.

The delegates from all the clans and branches of IDU charged him to strengthen the bond of unity, harmony and good relationship among the Isoko people.

They also urged him to pressure the authorities at the state and federal levels to bring development to Isoko land and sustain of Isoko culture and language.

He was also enjoined to ensure good relationship with other ethnic nationalities in the state and country, during the annual general conference held at Isoko Unity Complex in Oleh, Isoko South Local Council of Delta State.

Speaking to journalists after his reelection, Amaidhe assured that he would mobilise Isoko sons and daughters in Nigeria and in the Diaspora towards the development of Isoko nation.

He said: “Together we will create an Isoko nation that would compete effectively among ethnic nationalities”.

Amaidhe commended Isoko people for their support and contributions in all the achievements recorded by the union’s executives.
