J.J. Rawlings, Omolewa Ahmed, others to speak at Thinkation 2018

The Ubong King Foundation has announced a conference to promote creative thinking in the society.

The convener, Ubong King, said the position of the American Association of University Professors and the National Education Association motivated him to hold the conference.

He said: “The hallmark of American education is that, it is designed to create thinking citizens for a free society.

Also, the National Education Association stated: “The solution to national and international problems, such as poverty and global warming, require highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.”

According to him, Thinkation 2018 would hold on January 19, 2018, at the Civic Centre, Vitoria Island, Lagos.

He said it became necessary following the rising number of unemployable graduates and young people with an entitlement mentality.

He explained that Thinkation was coined from the combination of two terms: Thinking and Education.

He added that it would inspire the infusion of the creative force of thinking into education, and also bridge the gap between the two.

He disclosed that great leaders of thought and prolific speakers, authors, entrepreneurs and mentors would speak at the event.
