
Alhaji Musa Abdullahi, the Malaria Desk Officer in the council, told newsmen in Kirikasamma that the drugs were distributed to 19 health centres.
Abdullahi said that 5,000 doses of new regime of malaria drugs and 5,000 test kits were distributed to the health facilities.
He said that the gesture was to enhance treatment of the disease and quality healthcare delivery in rural communities.
Abdullahi added that the state government in collaboration with the National Malaria Booster Control Programme (NMBC) had conducted various campaign activities to control the disease in the state.
He tasked health personnel to ensure effective utilisation of the drugs and warned against diversion of the facilities.
