Joint security operatives bust kidnappers’ hideout in Anambra
During the early hours of Thursday, a team of joint security operatives in Anambra State busted the hideout of some kidnappers at Enugwu-Agidi in the Njikoka Local Government Area of the state.
The raid on the hideout was led by troops of Operation Udo Ga-Achi, a security outfit inaugurated by Chukwuma Soludo, the state governor.
The troops comprised police operatives, military personnel, operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agencies.
The operation was reportedly based on intelligence reports from sources to the joint security team.

The troops recovered four locally made pistols, three packets of cartridges containing 101 rounds, two AK-47 rifles, eight pump-action guns, cutlasses, a motorcycle, and a Baofeng radio.
Some miscreants sustained injuries and fled from the hideout during the raid.
Anambra residents have experienced a spate of violent attacks from gunmen, abductors, and deadly Biafra agitators.
Soludo launched Operation Udo Ga-Achi, which translates to “peace shall prevail,” in January to address the rising insecurity in the state and restore peace.
