
Addressing party members during the state party congress at Umuahia, in which party candidates for elective offices (state and national) were elected by affirmation, Kalu told Abians that his administration as governor will end delayed payment of salaries and pensions, restore free healthcare and do the needful to reposition the state on the path of progress and equitable development.
He described APP as the long expected baby whose birth was timely, stressing that this has been evidenced by the peaceful emergence of candidates for all elective offices in the 2023 general elections.
He called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to effect free, fair and credible elections, predicting that APP will make surprising impact in free and fair polls.
