The Kano State Government has announced a new partnership with Fraym to launch a cutting-edge data engine aimed at accelerating economic development across the state.
This collaboration was unveiled during a one-day seminar focused on revitalizing Kano’s economic and social landscape. The seminar, organized by Fraym, a U.S.-based data analytics company, took place at City Kings Hotels and Tower, Farm Centre, in Kano.
Representing the Deputy Governor, the Honorable Commissioner of Information and Internal Affairs, Hon. Baba Halilu Dantiye, underscored the government’s commitment to education as the cornerstone of sustainable development. He noted that a well-educated populace is essential for achieving meaningful progress.
Alhaji Shehu Mohammed, Chairman of the Kano Emirate Council Advisory Committee on Economic and Social Matters and Sarkin Shanu of Kano, expressed the council’s dedication to fostering economic empowerment. He acknowledged the economic challenges facing both Kano State and Nigeria, which he attributed to a lack of focus on the potential of Kano’s economic initiatives.
Fraym’s leader, Mr. Ben Leo, presented new research highlighting significant, untapped opportunities to boost employment in Kano. He emphasized that this data-driven approach could unlock pathways for economic growth and job creation. The event attracted traditional titleholders, local government representatives, and key figures from the business community.
This collaboration with Fraym marks an important step in Kano’s journey toward economic transformation. By combining the state’s commitment to education and economic empowerment with Fraym’s advanced data analytics expertise, this partnership is poised to bring about substantial positive changes to Kano’s economy and improve the livelihoods of its residents.
