KEBBI State Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Jibril Yakubu, has tasked officers and men of the state police command to display selflessness while carrying out the duty of protecting lives and property.

Yakubu spoke on Thursday in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital during an interactive session with policemen. He called on them to intensify efforts on crime detection, control and prosecution of suspected criminals in accordance with the law.

The commissioner commended the officers for sustaining the low crime rate in the state and assured that the command would continue to promote their welfare, especially personnel who exhibited gallantry.

The officers commended the commissioner and the national leadership of the police for prompt payment of salaries, allowances and promotion of deserving officers.
