Following the constant electricity enjoyed by the people of Kebbi State recently, blackout has hit the state for a week now, which resulted in load shedding that crippled business activities.

Our correspondent, who visited some business centres, gathered that hair salon operators and petty traders were worried due to the new power supply system.

A barber, Issa Mohammed, expressed dismay over the development, despite the huge bills they reportedly pay.

“We are not going to pay for this month’s bill because we are not enjoying the 24 hours light anymore. We don’t know what is happening. Is it because the election has been won?” he added.

Effort to reach the Business Manager of Kaduna Electricity Distribution, Kebbi branch, proved abortive.
