Kogi governor pledges to settle workers salaries soon

The Governor of Kogi State,Yahaya Bello has said arrangements were on to clear all backlog of salaries owed civil servants in the state.

Speaking in Kaduna after the 19 Northern Governors’ meeting, Bello said his administration did not incur any debt through non-payment of salaries to workers, since he came on board as governor.

He claimed he inherited about three to four months’ outstanding salaries from the immediate past administration. Bello, however, promised to remove ghost workers from the state’s civil service.
