Kwara governor appoints Chief of Staff, SSG, CPS
•Ihedioha Forwards Nnawuchi’s Name To Imo Assembly As Justice Commissioner
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has made his first appointments in office, comprising the Chief of Staff (CoS), Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and Chief Press Secretary (CPS).
A statement by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Agboola Olarewaju, named the appointees as Aminu Adisa Logun (CoS), Mamman Saba Jibril (SSG) and Rafiu Ajakaye (CPS).
Logun, a pioneer industrialist in Ilorin and an alumnus of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, near Jos, hails from the state capital and was the chairman of the 80-member transition Committee appointed by AbdulRazaq.
Jibril, who hails from Dumagi in Kwara North Senatorial District, was head of the Geography Department at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna.
Ajakaye, who hails from Alabe in Ifelodun Council, was until his appointment, the Nigerian correspondent for Anadolu Agency, a Turkish semi-official news medium.
In Imo State, Governor Emeka Ihedioha has forwarded the name of Ndukwe Nnawuchi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), to the state House of Assembly for screening for the position of attorney general and commissioner for Justice.
The 27- member assembly has already set up a committee, headed by Ken Agbim (Ahiazu Mbaise Constituency) to screen the nominee.
Nnawuchi hails from Owerri zone and been in private legal practice for decades.
