Kwara governor appoints new aides
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has appointed former military administrator of Kebbi State, Brig-Gen. Saliu Bello (rtd.), as Special Adviser on Security.
He also appointed Aliyu Muyideen, an intelligence and counter-terrorism expert, as Senior Special Assistant on Security.
The assemblage of the security team comes as the governor pushes harder for more investments in the state, according to the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye.
Bello, who hails from Erin Ile in Oyun Council, was Colonel General Staff for the Nigerian contingent in Liberia, and Chief Instructor at Military School in Zaria.
Muyideen, who retired as Principal Staff Officer, Operations, Department of State Services (DSS), was trained in advance investigation, intelligence analysis, counter-terrorism, advance vetting, explosive ordnance and detective basics, among others.
The governor appointed Adekunle Dunmade, a professor of Otolaryngology and Director, University of Ilorin Stem Cell Research Centre, as his Special Adviser on Health Matters.
Dunmade, who hails from Ifelodun, replaces Prof. Wale Sulaiman.
