In a bid to engage the youth in sports and build a new generation of athletes, Kwara State has finalised plans to organize a yearly inter-secondary school volleyball competition. This year’s event, in fact, will spike off today.

The tournament, which ends on Friday, Jackpot will hold at the indoor sports hall of Kwara State Sports Complex, Ilorin, with Ajikaz Oil Limited as its headline sponsor.

Chief Executive Officer, Ajikaz Oil Limited, Kazeem Ajibola, Livesport said they are in the project to inspire young participating children and discover fresh talents for the country.

He describes sports as a tool that can be used to curb social vices among teenagers in schools.
