Lafarge Africa commences regional stage of literacy competition

Lafarge Africa Plc, a cement-manufacturing company, has commenced the regional stage of the third edition of Lafarge Africa National Literacy Competition, organised in collaboration with Ovie Brume Foundation, a non-governmental organisation.

The yearly competition is one of the national social investment programmes developed by the organisation to take corporate social responsibility beyond its host communities to a wider Nigerian audience.

   
Following the selection of participating public schools from the different states across the country, with the involvement of the respective States Universal Basic Education Boards (SUBEB), the regional stage of the competition will hold in the six geo-political zones between October 12 and October 28. The grand finale is slated for November 15 in Lagos.
