Lagos APC inaugurates 163-member campaign council, warns against distraction

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday, inaugurated its campaign council to midwife the party’s victory in the 2023 general election.

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), yesterday, inaugurated its campaign council to midwife the party’s victory in the 2023 general election.

It urged the committee to avoid issues that might distract the party from the path of victory.

The state Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, while inaugurating the campaign council at the party’s secretariat, said Senator Ganiyu Solomon is the director-general of the campaign council.

He said Fouad Oki would serve as the secretary of the council, adding that the council will serve for the presidential, governorship and legislative elections in the state.

Ojelabi said members of the council were carefully selected owing to their individual abilities and the belief that they would collectively as a council deliver the state to the party.

He said it was important for the committee to concentrate on issues that would add value to the success of the party. adding: “We should remain resolute, committed and law-abiding throughout the assignment and beyond.”

Meanwhile, Solomon, who thanked the party for entrusting them with the task of ensuring APC victory in Lagos State, said the party had taken a step of faith to have responsible and responsive leadership in the country.
