The Lagos State’s Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, has warned residents of the state against the fabrication of false information on the speed limits operation.
According to Osiyemi, the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation determines the size, colour, and type of traffic signs to ensure standardisation and adherence to global best practices.
In a statement posted by the ministry on X, the commissioner referenced Section 28(2)(a) of the Lagos State Transport Sector Reform Law (2018) as the legal framework for traffic signs and stipulates penalties on motorists who exceed prescribed speed limits.
