Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said on Thursday that 40 of the Lagos COVID-19 patients were released to join their families and the society after testing negative.

The 40 patients, 17 females and 23 males including two foreign nationals, were discharged from the state isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

“The patients, 19 from Onikan, seven from Gbagada, three from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba, eight from Agidingbi and three from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged after full recovery and testing negative to COVID-19,” Sanwo-Olu said.

“Let’s continue to adhere strictly to physical distancing and hand hygiene principles for a COVID-19 free Lagos.”
