Lagos Government implores muslims to pray for successful elections in 2023

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has implored Muslims across Nigeria to take advantage of the last few days of the Ramadan to pray fervently to God for a successful election in 2023.

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has implored Muslims across Nigeria to take advantage of the last few days of the Ramadan to pray fervently to God for a successful election in 2023.

Speaking at the Laylatul Quadri Ramadam Service, Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Mr. Tunji Bello, noted that the last 10 days of Ramadan is very important in the lives of Muslims. He said as the 2023 general election draws closer, Muslims should use the Ramadan period to raise supplication to Allah for a free, fair and peaceful elections.

According to the governor, it is time to pray for the election to be successful, because of the huge negative consequences if the country is not able to hold the election in a peaceful atmosphere.

On her part, the first lady of the state, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, enjoined Muslims who have not been praying fervently for the nation and the families for positive things and development to start doing so because Nigeria cannot continue being plagued by crisis.

“This is the time to pray and really seek help from Allah because we cannot continue like this as a nation.”

The first lady, represented by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Remi Hamzat, was optimistic that Nigeria and its people will be great again.
