
In a bid to promote economic growth and development in Otto and Mainland communities, the Oloto of Otto and Mainland Kingdom, Oba Bashir Abisoye Odesanya, has called for a collaborative effort between the business community and the
government to improve and leverage the economic potential of the communities.
The monarch, who stated this during his first year coronation anniversary ceremony, stressed the need for the convergence of traditional cultural approaches, business innovation, and strategic governance to fully unleash the potential of their collective efforts.
He said that the business community, with its expertise and resources, serves as invaluable assets, and the partnership with the government would be pivotal in establishing the foundation for sustainable development.
The monarch urged the government to intensify efforts in urban renewal and slum regeneration in Otto and the Mainland.
He added that the anticipated benefits extend beyond the populace and business community, as it is essential for bolstering government revenue to sustain the development of the state and the nation.
Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, at the event, assured the monarch of the state’s support for the partnership, emphasising a collaborative effort to drive economic growth in the communities.
He extended well wishes to the monarch, expressing hopes for more years on the throne filled with good health with the aspiration to unlock the full economic potential of their collective endeavours.
