The hosting of Muslims in twenty centres across the state, Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has said is part of his administrationís strategy to promote inclusive governance.

Speaking at Lagos House yesterday when he received members of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs on a courtesy visit, Ambode said in the past, residents often travel from different parts of the city to celebrate with the first family in the State during festivities, which could be tasking financially. According to him, having centres across the state would give room for more participation.

He said the same strategy was adopted during the Community Day Celebration and it worked well, adding that with the initiative, government would evolve community participation in governance and enhance bonding among the people.

The Governor said on his part, he would also make appearance in some of the centres to celebrate with the people, urging traditional rulers, community leaders, religious leaders among others to also join in the celebration.
