The Lagos State Government says it will inaugurate its online tax platform known as Lagos Revenue Portal on Aug. 15.

Mr Abdul-Kabir Ogungbo, Special Adviser to Gov. Babatunde Sanwo-Olu on Taxation and Revenue, announced this at a media briefing on Thursday at Lagos Revenue House, Alausa.

Ogungbo, who is also the Executive Chairman, Lagos State Internal Revenue, disclosed that the online tax platform would be inaugurated by Gov. Sanwo-Olu.

“As earlier established, the e-tax platform for all tax payments managed by the Lagos Internal Revenue Service, is another milestone.

“It represents a significant leap towards modernising our revenue collection system. It will streamline our collection process into a more-friendly and accessible self-service portal,” he said.

The Special Adviser pointed out that LRP will aggregates all Lagos State bills and payments across ministries, departments and agencies in the state, making it one stop shop for all taxpayers.

Ogungbo said the portal will allowed residents to manage and print their bills and make payments online through multiple available channels (card, bank transfer, POS, USSD, QR Code etc) from anywhere.

He said some of the advantages of the portal included; instant revenue receipt after payment, amendment and reversal request of payment and comprehensive view of payment history.

“This one-stop-shop provides residents with timely support and promotes ease-of-doing-business within the state, therefore, enhancing their overall experience,” he said.
