According to him, the state workforce has shown its commitment to the development of the state through their sacrifice in the face of economic hardship, saying, “it is an unwarranted situation, but tough time will not last”.

Osun State House of Assembly member-elect for Obokun State constituency, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye has extolled the civil servants in the state for their endurance, perseverance and understanding with the state government, in spite of the harsh economic condition of the state.

Oyintiloye in a statement noted that the level of understanding exhibited by workers is commendable stressing that they should continue to bear the situation as the state government tries to find lasting solution to the irregular payment of their salaries

Attributing the cause of non-payment of salaries to dwindling allocations from Federal Governmemt, Oyintiloye reminded workers that the state government had been consistent in salary payment before the financial mess.
According to him, the state workforce has shown its commitment to the development of the state through their sacrifice in the face of economic hardship, saying, “it is an unwarranted situation, but tough time will not last”.

Oyintiloye lamented that though Osun and its workforce are one of the worst hit, he linked the economic hardship on the state to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led federal government, failure in managing the economy

“The understanding of the state workers is highly commendable, as it is one of the things that is giving the government the courage to move on in spite of the harsh condition imposed on us by the government at the center’’, he said.

“It is a public knowledge that Osun was being starved with fund from the federal government because of Aregbesola role to effect a change of government, with a view to ensuring good governance in the country.

“Though the situation is regrettable, Ogbeni Aregbesola deserves to be commended for holding the state till now. If not for the pro-activeness of the administration, the activities of government would have been completely crippled.

“By their gesture, the state workers have reciprocated the commitment of the present administration to the workforce”, he said.
Oyintiloye however condemned mischief-makers who thrive on blackmails and reduced the present challenges as act of callousness on the part of the state government.

He said that Ogbeni Aregbesola is humane and possesses human feelings against the evil theory being circulated by some people.
The lawmaker-elect then expressed optimism that the storm would soon be over, as the governor was exploring all options to mitigate the impact of the economic situation.

He also expressed hope that the management of the economy would improve under the government of General Muhammadu Buhari.
This, according to him, would in turn bring about the improvement in the allocation accruable to the state and make it easier to fulfil its obligations.

Oyintiloye then appealed to the workers to continue their support for the government and endure a little longer, expressing optimism that the issues surround the non-payment of their salaries would soon be resolved.
