The lawmaker representing Lagos Mainland federal constituency, Moshood Oshun, has empowered 200 youths in Lagos Mainland with vocational skills and start-up capital.
The beneficiaries were trained in bead making, wig making, make-up, Gele tying, and event decorations.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony held on Saturday for the participants, Oshun, urged the beneficiaries to make judicious use of the training to be financially self-reliant and be employers of labor.
He noted that the training on vocational skills for members of his constituency became important to him because not available would have the opportunity to pick up white-collar jobs, which are even in short supply in the country.

He added that the start-up capital is for them to have the funds to set up and should not be spent on frivolous activities.
The lawmaker also advised youths and graduates to embrace vocational skills and be empowered in the face of economic realities in the country.
Oshun assured Nigerians of a better country through the renewed hope initiative of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying the initial hardship is needed to right the wrong in policies for the overall benefit of the citizens.
The beneficiaries thanked the lawmaker for supporting the less privileged in society and urged other political officeholders to follow suit.
