Lawmaker empowers constituents with skills, working tools

A member of the House of Representatives, Clement Jimbo, representing Abak/Etim-Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency in Akwa Ibom State, has empowered his constituents with 15-tons tipper automobile.

Jimbo had earlier empowered over 250 constituents from Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency with N80,000 cash gift for each beneficiary to venture into any agricultural programme of his/her choice, after participating in free agro-allied venture and certifications training he sponsored.

The lawmaker, who is also the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on National Planning, alias ‘Youth Slot’, stressed that the betterment of the people, especially members of Abak/ Etim Ekpo/ Ika Federal Constituency is paramount to him.

Jimbo further said he facilitated training for several youths on ICT, with each participant getting laptop as part of efforts to reduce unemployment and restiveness among the youth. Jimbo also facilitated the grading of rural roads across Nung Oku Ikot, Ikot Edet, Nto Unang and Uruk Ata Ikot Akpan villages in Etim Ekpo Local Council of Akwa Ibom State.

To improve brightness and intensify security for road users who pass through Abak to Uyo at night, the lawmaker aided the installation of not less than 39 solar powered streetlights.
