The District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110 comprising Lagos and Ogun states, Rotarian Omotunde Lawson, has described the Rotary Club of Dolphin Estate as very outstanding with resourceful and quality members.

She gave the commendation during her official visit with members of her entourage to the club in Dolphin Estate.

“The President was able to defend all that is contained in the workbook which is the evidence that they did teamwork.

“I believe they will surmount every challenge they have as a young club and the challenges they have are common to other clubs.

“I believe it is a new club and despite the fact that I do not expect much from them, the President is a Paul Harris Fellow who by this example, would be able to convince others to also make necessary contributions.

“They carried out a project of tree planting during my visit, have done some things in the area of Rotary Foundation, and from all indications, the club is a vibrant one,” she said.

The President, of the Rotary Club of Dolphin Estate, Rotarian Oyebola Adeyanju, described the visit of the District Governor as very interesting, impactful, and encouraging.

“Prior to her visit, I was nervous, timid, and afraid, but when the District Governor came, she doused the tension, made the meeting like a family affair, and made us feel like a mother visiting her children she loves so much.

“Every advice she gave attested to her wealth of experience and without mincing words, she is worth emulating and we are complying with every advice she gave.

“I used to be afraid of how to sustain the club and how my successor would be able to handle the club, but by her visit today, all my fears are allayed and I can boldly say that the club is going places,” she said.

She premised her ability to cope on the support from the members of the club, the mother club, the Rotary Club of Isolo, the PAG, Raph Abanum, who has been the club’s adviser, IPP, Rotarian Tejumola Taiwo, among others.

She disclosed other projects in the pipeline as general cleaning of the front of the houses in Dolphin Estate and membership sensitisation with 20 reasons why people should join Rotary, as well as the proclamation of the Rotary 4-Way Test.

She would like to be remembered after her tenure for her selflessness, a Rotarian, who also impacted other women with the same spirit.
