Lekki Gardens’ boss, contractor get bail

An Ebute Metta Chief Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, yesterday, granted the Managing Director of Lekki Gardens, Richard Nyong, bail on self-recognition.

An Ebute Metta Chief Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, yesterday, granted the Managing Director of Lekki Gardens, Richard Nyong, bail on self-recognition.

The presiding Chief Magistrate, Mrs. Folashade Botoku, also gave reprieve to Taiwo Odofin, one of the contractors that supervised the collapsed five-storey building in the sum of N10 million with two sureties

According to the court, the guarantors must be of good standing with verifiable evidences of tax payment.

It also ordered the duo to report to the police between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm every working day and to deposit their international passports as well as avoid travelling abroad during the pendency of the matter.
