The new President, Ikeja Dynamic Lions Club, Lion Adeniran Somefun, has pledged impactful service while charting bold new paths.
Somefun made the pledge as the Lions Club officially ushered in a new chapter of leadership for the 2025–2026 Lion Service Year.
The club witnessed a symbolic and dignified handover ceremony as the immediate past President, Lion Adeola Balogun passed the mantle to Lion Somefun.
The service organisation pledged a renewed commitment to humanitarian service and excellence.
The event, held amidst fanfare and camaraderie, was graced by distinguished Lion dignitaries, most notably the immediate Past District Governor, Lion Tolulope Senbanjo.
Her presence added an extra layer of inspiration, as she continues to be a beacon of progressive leadership and unyielding service within the Lions community.
In his acceptance remarks, Somefun also pledged bold new paths that will further elevate the club’s visibility, outreach, and impact.
He said: “This new service year is not just a continuation, it’s a call to reimagine service with heart, strategy, and collaboration.
“Together with my fellow Lions, we will touch more lives, empower more communities, and uphold the true essence of our motto: We Serve.
“As the Ikeja Dynamic Lions Club embarks on a new journey under my leadership, members remain steadfast in their purpose, to lead with compassion, serve with distinction, and uphold the Lions International legacy of global impact under District 404B2.
“With bold steps and a shared vision, the club is poised to make the 2025–2026 Lion Service Year one of transformational impact and dynamic legacy,” Somefun said.
