Local content development is key to constant power supply, says Anyaeji

The President of Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Otis Anyaeji has said local content development in the power sector is key to regular supply of electricity.

Speaking at the 5th Fellowship Conferment Lecture Ceremony of the NSE in Abuja themed: ‘Power Sector Reform In Nigeria-The Missing Link: Implementation Agenda,’å he said the government should not reform the power sector by importing inputs needed.

“And it should not be only for power, but for water, roads, telecom and so forth; by that we are going to become an industrial power. And you can achieve that even in less than five years. It is just for the government to give Nigerian engineers the opportunity to do what we know how to do.”
