LP’s Umezuruike wins Rivers House of Rep seat

Labour Party (LP) candidate, Mr. Manuchim Umezuruike, has been elected to represent Phalga Constituency 1 of Rivers State at the Federal House of Representatives. According to the Returning Officer, Dr. Onutu Richard, Umezuruike polled 22,459 votes to defeat the PDP candidate.

In a statement issued, yesterday, Umezuruike expressed gratitude to his people for ensuring his victory at the polls. He said the mandate given to him on Saturday is for progress and true development of his constituency.

“I am honoured and humbled to be entrusted with the task of representing Phalga Constituency 1 of Rivers State at a time like this. This victory is for God, my party and the people of my constituency. It is a mandate for true progress and development,” he stated.
