Former Nigeria’s representative to the United Nations, Dr. Yusuf Maitama Sule, has urged Nigerians to work together in peace and unity, and emulate virtues of national leaders, who selflessly approach the task of nation building.

Maitama said this, recently, in Kano, during the graduation ceremony of the Rochas Foundation College, calling on the granduands to pull their energy to develop the nation.

According to him, the message of unity, love and peace would move the country forward, adding that those are some of the virtues that define the proprietor of the college and governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha.

Some of the personalities in attendance at the event include, governors of Kano, Dr. Abdulahi Umar Gadunje; Sokoto, Aminu Tambowal; Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Kabiru Alhassan Rurum, among others.

He said Okorocha, by his gesture towards mankind, could be likened to foremost Nigerian nationalists, particularly Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe; the Sultan of Sokoto; Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Abubakar, among others.

Okorocha, on his part, said about five of the foundation’s schools in Imo, Jos, Kano, Ibadan and Ogboko, offer free education to students and that there are plans to build more schools in South Africa.
