Makinde, Oyo PDP leaders hold caucus meeting over congresses
Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has inaugurated the Local Organising Committee for the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) ward, local council, and state congresses.
Makinde, at the inauguration, during a caucus meeting, which had in attendance stakeholders from all the organs of the party, said the PDP, would allow internal democracy to reflect in the processes.
A statement by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, indicated that the caucus meeting had in attendance serving and former National Assembly members, serving and former presiding officers of the House of Assembly, Board of Trustees (BOT) members, and other members of the party’s State Working Committee.
The statement added that the caucus re-affirmed its confidence in Makinde as the leader of the PDP in Oyo State.
Meanwhile, a communique signed by the Chairman of Oyo State PDP, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha, indicated that the caucus made a commitment to ensure a rancor-free congress that will bring unity to the party.
