Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has expressed readiness to support indigenes of the state that returned from South Africa over xenophobic attacks.
Makinde stated this yesterday while receiving 32 indigenes of the state.
The returnees, consisting of 30 adults and two minors, were received on his behalf by the deputy governor, Rauf Olaniyan.
However, the Administrative Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Abdulrahman Balogun, said the government had partnered with some agencies for rehabilitation and empowerment of the returnees.
The returnees were later given N30,000 each.
